Understanding Community Partnerships: Best Practice & Creating Impact
A partnership between the British Council and a consortium led by Glasgow Caledonian University, SILKEN has emerged from the research carried out as part of the Social Innovation in Higher Education initiative and the work of the Southeast Asian Social Innovation Network. The project aims to devise and implement an engagement strategy for developing a long term, sustainable social innovation network of knowledge exchange and liaison between universities and external stakeholders and to produce and disseminate a roadmap for future engagement.
In order to develop a sustainable and extensive network, we will be hosting a special brokerage events in which we will be exploring ways in which universities and practitioners can engage with each other.
In this session we will be:
- Showcasing some best practice in knowledge exchange partnerships to demonstrate how successful partnerships can be formed and sustained.
- Launching the SILKEN platform – a unique tool that you can use to forge new partnerships across the world.
- A breakout session where participants will be able to delve deeper into potential relationships with other universities and practitioners, identifying pipelines for effective knowledge exchange.
Key Contributors:
Mark Majewsky Anderson and Carolyn McMillan, Glasgow Caledonian University
