The agricultural sector is vital in feeding and nourishing the world, and provides livelihoods to millions of people. Industrial farming practices, however, can cause up to USD 3 trillion worth of environmental damage every year. Growing affluence in Asia will place a strain on existing food systems. Now, more than ever, it is time for agribusinesses in Asia to develop ESG practices that are climate and environment friendly and socially equitable, while developing its ability to feed billions of people in the region.
