2022-10-21 @ 20:00:00 - 21:00:00 HKT
細閱只需 2 分鐘
The ProVeg Food Innovation Challenge campaign brings together food manufacturers and university students for co-creation, aims to accelerate alternative protein innovation and cultivate innovation talents for global food system transformation.
For this webinar, ProVeg has invited guest speakers Dean Gordon from Beyond Meat, Cecilia McAleavey, Director of Sustainable Eating and Public Affairs at OATLY and Alice Lou, R&D Associate Director, External Innovation at PepsiCo to speak with university students on the potential, outlook and development of plant-based foods.
Raphael Podselver, Head of UN Advocacy at ProVeg International will also be sharing about ProVeg’s collaboration with the UN in the Climate Change Conference – COP27 – and the Food4Climate program, where we will showcase selected finalists (online)!
For the first time ever, this year’s UN Climate Change conference – COP27, taking place in Sharm el-Sheikh, in Egypt from 8th – 20th November, will host pavilions dedicated to food system change, including the Food4Climate Pavilion, which will highlight to the nearly 200 country delegations visiting the conference how the food and agriculture system needs to change in order to effectively tackle the climate crisis.
Leading up to COP27, we are glad to announce that we will join @Global Alliance of Universities on Climate and around 100 other institutions worldwide to co-initiate Global Youth Climate Week.
Scheduled 1 week ahead of each @UN Climate Change COP, the Week aims to mobilize youth’s climate actions for more concrete contributions in addressing #ClimateChange, which was praised by Ms. Patricia Espinosa, the former UNFCCC Executive Secretary, as “an impactful contribution to the UNFCCC process.”
This year, the Week will launch on October 31st, lasting 5 days until November 4th, and contribute the momentum generated by youth’s climate actions to the success of @COP27 Egypt.
We’re excited to be hosting this webinar as part of launching the Week and engaging youth for a sustainable future shared by all!
