By 2050, the global population is estimated to reach 9 billion, resulting in a need to increase food production by 70%. A UN report shows that more than a third of global greenhouse gas emissions come from the production, distribution, and consumption of food. At the same time, our food system is under tremendous stress from growing demand and climate change.
Despite these challenges, there are promising opportunities for reducing agriculture’s environmental impact and achieving food security. Please join our virtual forum on May 12 at 12:30pm (GMT+8) where I will chat with impact investors and entrepreneurs in food tech about:
